A 16-year-old boy and his father have been remanded until the 19th of this month after being arrested in connection with a road accident in the Welisara Mahabage area in which one person was killed and four others were seriously injured yesterday (04) morning.
The verdict was handed down when they were produced before Wattala Magistrate Heshan de Mel today (05).
The luxury car driven by the 16-year-old boy had veered off the road and collided with a car coming from the other lane, where a three-wheeler and two motorcycles had also been involved in the accident.
One motorcyclist was killed and four others were injured.
