The Department of Meteorology announced that there is a possibility of occasional rain or thundershowers in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Northern provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (19).
The department has also announced that some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara, Puttalam, Kilinochchi and Jaffna districts can expect heavy rain of 100 mm.
Meanwhile, it is also reported that thunderstorms may occur in the rest of the island in the evening or at night, and strong winds of 40-45 km/h may occur in the western slopes of the central mountains and in the southern province. .
