Speaking at a media briefing in Colombo today (11), the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has stated that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation is also incurring losses due to the current situation.
Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila was also present at the occasion, Fuel prices will also have to be increased if the Treasury does not provide some relief.
The Minister further stated that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation is incurring huge losses due to the increase in oil prices in the world market.
Also, with the increase in world market prices, the price of fuel in Sri Lanka should also increase, said the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Sumith Wijesinghe.
