Physiotherapist at the Colombo National Hospital Dr. Upul Dissanayake said that although there has been a decrease in the number of cases of covid infection, the public should pay attention to the spread of covid.
The doctor points out that there is a potential to reduce the spread of Kovid by preventing the virus from infecting large numbers of people at once.
The doctor said that people who have been infected with the virus will not be infected again until 2 to 3 months later.
He also pointed out that although the Kovid situation in the country is at a good level at present, the Delta Plus variant has not been reported in the country so far.
He was speaking at a media briefing held at the Health Promotion Bureau today (25).
