Shiraz Yunus, the National Coordinator of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Muslim Affairs, has joined a social media program where a large number of facts about the government have been presented.
The main point was that the Muslim community in the country has completely lost faith in the government.
He stated that if another election is held 98% of the Muslim community will not vote for this government.
He also pointed out that the Prime Minister has no power at present and that he too is acting only as a nominal Prime Minister and that this government is divided into two parties as the President and the Prime Minister.
Mr. Shiraz Younus directly stated that the President has done something like “cut off the hand that cut the rice”.
Moreover, the only wish of the Muslim people at this time is when this government will collapse.He points out that this is mainly due to the decision taken to cremate the remains of Muslims and the decision taken to ban the slaughter of cattle which they are most affected by.
Referring to the Easter attack, he said that the Easter attack was being used as a pawn and that it was done at the behest of the world powers.
