Ranil Jayawardena bids farewell to his post.

Sri Lankan origin Ranil Jayawardena, who was working as the British Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, has resigned from his post.
It was with the new British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak starting his cabinet reshuffle.
Former British Prime Minister Liz Trust has appointed him as a British Cabinet Minister last September, where Mr. Ranil Jayawardene is leading the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and has also been in charge of food and agriculture policy in Britain.
It is reported that Mr. Ranil Jayawardene previously worked as a junior minister in the Department of International Trade and was an early supporter of former Prime Minister Truss.
In 2015, Mr. Ranil Jayawardene was elected to the British Parliament.
