The Department of Meteorology has announced that in the next few days, there may be an increase in rain conditions as a turbulent nature is developing in the lower atmosphere near Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, it is reported that rain or thunderstorm conditions can be expected in the northern, eastern and north-central provinces.
The department also mentions that in addition to those areas, rain or thundershowers may occur in other areas in the evening or at night.
In particular, the department requested the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
