The new Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has stated that the battlefield at Galle Face should not be evacuated, that it should remain, that state security will be provided to protect it from now on, and that the necessary facilities will be provided to maintain it.
He further stated that the youth are giving the change they want and their struggle should continue till it is given. He also said that the current situation could be changed in another two or three months and that he was fully committed to it.
