The bodies of the father and son who were swept away by the current floods have been found.
The 11-year-old son was traveling to a tuition class in the Vilapola area in Kuliyapitiya yesterday (09) when the accident occurred.
The deceased child who was studying at Madampe Central College had also passed the scholarship examination with distinction and the villagers say that he is a gifted student.
The Kuliyapitiya Police and the Army launched a joint operation to search for the father and son and the villagers also assisted.
