Due to the shortage of paper in Sri Lanka, the Provincial Department of Education has decided to conduct the term examinations in grades 9, 10 and 11 of the Western Provincial Schools which were scheduled to be postponed as usual.
Western Province Director of Education Sri Lal Nonis says that it has been possible to procure the required paper for printing the question papers.
Accordingly, all schools in the Western Province are scheduled to begin their probationary examinations for students in grades 9, 10 and 11 from March 29, according to the schedule.
In addition, the term examinations of students in Grades 6, 7 and 8 will be conducted as usual from today (21), said the Director of Education, Shri Lal Nonis.
