The water in Polhena beach is changing.

Polhena Beach is a very beautiful beach in Sri Lanka that has attracted a lot of local and foreign tourists.
It has been reported that the waters of this Matara Polheta beach have turned green since yesterday (26).
Due to the coral reef on this beach, this beach with shallow water and small sandbar is popular among tourists as a beach suitable for swimming.
However, the officers of the Nara Institute have also come to the coast to investigate the change in the sea water and they mentioned that the color of the sea water has changed due to an unusual growth of algae.
Mr. Upul Liyanage, Senior Scientist of the Nara Institute, who commented further on the matter, said that samples have been taken from the seashore and research is being conducted on the factors affecting this.
