The protest march of the Inter University Federation, which started in Pettah at around 1.30 pm, is now being surrounded by protesters at the residence of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in Wijerama.
With the commencement of the protest, the police and the youth had a vocal voice with their rejection and the police officers left the site.
It is reported that there are several protests in various parts of Sri Lanka at present.
