The Department of Meteorology announces that occasional rain or thundershowers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (24).
The department has also announced that heavy rain conditions of more than 100 mm may occur in some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
Meanwhile, it has also been announced that rain or thunder may occur in the rest of the island today in the evening or at night.
In particular, the Department of Meteorology requested the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
