A total of 215 drug addicts were arrested during a search operation in Mt. Lavinia, Moratuwa and Dehiwala police divisions last night (05).
Following the fingerprinting and photographing process of all those arrested, all their information was entered into a special database.
Accordingly, 56 of those arrested have been identified as involved in various crimes and 33 as registered criminals in the island.
Vaccination of 56 suspects identified as having not received Kovid vaccine in this group and Gayan Jayawardena, Psychiatrist, Kiribathgoda Base Hospital for all addicts, on the importance of abstinence from drugs and a special lecture on mental preparation, including a medical clinic for the treatment of drug addicts.Joining the Counseling Process of Professional Counselors was also held today (06) at the Tyrone Fernando Stadium, Moratuwa.
