Opposition MP Dr. Harsha de Silva says that a formal report is needed to clarify the current sugar crisis in the market.
He has also stated that he has emphasized in this regard on several occasions in the Committee on Finance.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Committee on Finance, MP Anura Priyadarshana Yapa has stated in the Committee on Finance that the Committee on Finance will be able to engage in a lengthy discussion on the matter after it is tabled in the Committee on Public Accounts soon.
